What to Expect

Children who have positive dental office experiences are less likely to fear the dentist in the future. Parents can help their child have a good experience by being calm and natural when discussing it with their child. Take a moment to browse our website or Facebook with your child before they visit so they know what to expect. We do our part by providing a super fun office environment, gentle care, and loving your kids!

Your child’s first visit usually includes:

  • Examining teeth for cavities, and checking the health of the gums
  • Education and enforcement of good oral health habits
  • Based on the exam, X-rays may be recommended or taken
  • At this or the next appointment, your child’s teeth are cleaned and a fluoride treatment may be given

If further treatment is necessary, options will be discussed.

New Patient

During your child’s first visit to our office we will:
  • Review your child’s dental information

  • Take any necessary x-rays and examine the teeth, gums, head, and neck

  • Perform a cleaning

  • Brush up on brushing and oral hygiene techniques

  • Discuss diet and nutrition

  • Determine a treatment plan, if needed

  • We’ll also answer any questions and address any concerns you may have.

Financing and Insurance

Please bring all new patient paperwork as well as your insurance cards and driver’s license to the first appointment. We are happy to assist you in processing your insurance.

We accept many different insurance plans and try to pre-authorize and estimate your out-of-pocket costs before proceeding with any dental treatment. But please remember, you and not your insurance carrier are ultimately responsible for payment of services rendered in our office. We will work with you to maximize your insurance benefits.

Our goal is to provide the finest quality of dental care for your child. We understand your concern about the cost of dental treatment. We strive to keep our fees low and make every effort to help you understand the need for treatment. We offer cash discounts as well as an in-house prepayment plan to help you manage the cost of treatment. We work with you to ensure your child gets the needed treatment without costly or painful delay.
